| Cat's ex-colleague Josh, the one who gave up a life of CAD to be a Maserati test driver, stayed with us for the month of January while he looked for a new place. The end of our contract had ripple effects everywhere: Josh was Alexandre's roommate! [Ok, we've made another exception for Josh, who is originally from northern California but will probably be in Italy for years to come.] | |

| Ben came to visit towards the end of November. Despite our warnings about bad Modenese weather at time of year, as you can see the weather was great. Ben followed us to a classic car show and went on day trips to Venice and Florence on his own. He also saw Rome before visiting a friend in Munich. Ben lives in Boston. | |

| Alexandre came over for pancakes one morning shortly before leaving Italy at the end of his time at Ferrari. Afterwards the three of us went for a ride in Guido with Alexandre's digital camera mounted in the window. When he left Alexandre was headed for a quick visit home to Montreal before starting his new job in Columbus, Ohio. [Normally you have to not live in Italy to get on this page but we made an exception for the departing Alexandre.] | |

| Sarah and Andrew (aka Betts) were the first visitors to succeed in getting us to hike up Monte Cimone. Their visit started on a high note at the opera in Verona and each evening finished over a nice glass (or three) of wine. They get two pins on the globe because they left from San Francisco but were headed back to their new home in Boston when they left. | |

Lasse and Sari came by Maranello at the end of July 2003, in the middle of their big roadtrip vacation from Jyväskylä, Finland. After a delicious dinner with us at the Montana restaurant in Maranello we obliged them to spend the night with us before moving on to Lake Garda the next day. |

| I met up with Laryssa and Phil one Saturday afternoon in Maranello in May and showed them the locals' spot for watching the Ferrari F1 cars at the Fiorano track. Later that day we went to Modena to watch the Mille Miglia cars pass through before Laryssa and Phil headed back to Tuscany where they were staying. They live in Vancouver. | |

| My brother Alasdair came for a brief visit in early January 2003, on his second visit, during a tour that also included London and Munich. He spent nearly the whole time in bed with some kind of flu but got to enjoy the Serramazzoni version of a winter wonderland. He was feeling better as he headed back home to Toronto. |

She went to Verona on her own, then we went to the Italian GP in Monza together and then she set off for Rome, Venice and Tuscany. After Italy she planned to visit Paris and Manchester. Oona lives in Victoria. (I think this is the first time I have got up a picture of a visitor while they were still in the country!) | |

Gareth spent the month of July at a Canadian school in Lanciano, near Rome, and came to see us for a while before going home. | Alexis came to Italy for a music conference between Bologna and Imola so I went to meet her in Bologna one Sunday afternoon so she counts as visitor 30 and a half. We did a brief lesson in local history, beginner's Italian and tourist survival skills while we ate ice cream and walked around the porticoed streets. We know Alexis from Vancouver but she now lives in Montreal. | |

| Pam and Owen came in December to spend some time in northern Italy before heading down to Sicily with us to spend Christmas with the rest of the Shorts and Pam's sister Jen. were grueling and she was happy to put her feet up at our place, if
only for a day. Wendy is spending August in Slovakia before returning

| Mr. Robinson, Trevor's dad, was in Italy for the San Marino Grand Prix and April and came by for a couple of days to visit us and Ferrari. Mr. R lived in White Rock, BC but sadly passed away in June 2005. | |

| Pat is currently helping to keep the peace in Bosnia as part of the Canadian division of the NATO Stabilization Force. He'll be there until April when he plans to return to Vancouver. Pat came at the end of January and woke to snow too. This picture was taken early in the morning when it was still snowing. | |

| Ben (aka Scrumpy Sr.) and his friend Cam came by in the first week of January, 2001. On their last day we woke up to a couple of centimeters of snow. As our first winter visitors Ben and Cam had us scrambling for blankets. When they left Ben was headed towards Turkey before going back to Melbourne, Australia, and Cam went back to work in Jakarta, Indonesia. |
