A minute of silence was observed on Friday, November 11th, but the university service was held today on Remembrance Sunday (the closest Sunday to the 11th).

The combined service for the University of Edinburgh, Heriot-Watt University and Napier University was held in Playfair Library Hall in Old College. Interestingly, all three university chaplains are women.

After the main part of the service everyone moved outside to the quadrangle for the minutes of silence and the laying of wreaths.
