It's a long
story, but my colleague's favourite phrase "Even a monkey can make
money [on the stock market]" inspired me to take a cardboard-backed
picture of Curious George with wads of American bills in his hands with
me to New York. The monkey references continued from there. How many monkeys
in this picture? (October 2003)

This monkey,
a native of the Times Square Toys 'R Us, will soon be making the trip
to Glasgow as a birthday/Christmas present for Susan and James' new baby
Niven. We took the monkey for one last trip through Central Park.

A real monkey
(I swear!) hanging out on the ledge on the top floor of a building on
Lafayette St. at Kenmare. "Don't jump, little monkey!"

We weren't
the only ones stopped on the sidewalk looking up. How often do you see
a monkey peering over the ledge ten stories up in Manhattan? Or were they
all tourists like us?
